A Musical Theatre Class for Thriving Thespians Grades 3-8
Class meets twice weekly: Tuesdays 4:30-6:30p and Saturdays 12-3:30p

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek the Musical KIDS, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and beloved Broadway musical. It's a "big bright beautiful world" as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek the Musical KIDS is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

In this program, emerging performers work as an ensemble and explore the essential elements of musical theatre - learning music, choreography, staging, and character development.

Hedgerow's education classes emphasize collaboration, self-confidence, and creative expression through performing arts. We strive to meet each student where they are, supporting individual growth in a supportive environment. Tech rehearsals are: Tuesday, 12/2 and Wednesday, 12/3 at 4:30-7:30p
Performances are: Saturday, 12/6 at 10:30a | Sunday, 12/7 at 12:00p | Saturday, 12/13 at 10:30a | Saturday, 12/13 at 12:30p
Students will be called one hour prior to performances, and will remain at the theatre between performances on two show days.
