Study the script, analyze the text and bring the words to life in a class taught by an award-winning actor and playwright.
Lou Lippa is an Obie-winning playwright, as well as an actor and director. His plays have been produced in New York, Philadelphia and regional theatres and have won OBIE and Barrymore Awards. He began his career at Hedgerow many years ago. He was recently seen on the Hedgerow stage in The Don and An American Tragedy which he also worked with Penelope Reed to adapt for the stage. His two-part six-hour adaptation of Dreiser's novel Sister Carrie produced by People's Light, received critical acclaim from Philadelphia, Washington and London reviewers.

Learn technique to build a character and perform in public from one of Philadelphia's most popular actors. It is recommended for more experienced actors.
Tom Teti is a long-time member of Hedgerow Theatre. He received his training at Hedgerow, as an actor (e.g. The Don in The Don, Salieri in Amadeus and Sherlock Holmes in The Hound of the Baskervilles), a director (e.g. Our Town, A Christmas Carol and Rumors), and as a Master Acting Instructor for years. Before his successful acting career, Mr. Teti was a professional educator with the Pennsylvania school system. Mr. Teti has acted in major theatres in Philadelphia and is a regular company member at Peoples Light and Theatre, spawned by former Hedgerow company members.

Learn acting by doing! Join Betty Lou Roselle's popular performance skills class and work on scenes, monologues, or a play, and present your work to family and friends.
Betty Lou Roselle is a long-time member of Hedgerow Theatre, and received her training at Hedgerow. She has performed many roles at Hedgerow and in the area. Recent Hedgerow credits: Arms and the Man and Musical Comedy Murders of 1940.
